UK CEED’s mission is to support the growth and development of the environmental/cleantech sectors and to promote the economic benefits of sound environmental practice.

Our strategy covers several key areas:

provision of specific one-to-one and collective business support

Innovation Support

one-to-one, tools, finance, partnership, cluster innovation programmes

Internationalisation
market intelligence, brokerage, trips/missions, expertise, travel grants

Knowledge & Intelligence
sharing knowledge, better academic links, intelligence on new markets

Promotion
of British cleantech companies/expertise/capabilities/facilities – inward investment

Investment
secure funding for cluster programmes and specific companies, including VCs/angels

Skills
creation of skilled workforce, plugging gaps, anticipation of future skills demands

Engagement
networking and facilitation of collaboration between cleantech stakeholder members

Policy advice and recommendation
lobbying, provision of policy recommendations to government


Why are we doing this?

There are several reasons as to why UK CEED was established in 1984 and why we are supporting the environmental/cleantech sector. The reasons are both environmental and economic and include:

mitigating and adapting for the effects of climate change and to protect the environment

to support the move to plentiful, sustainable and less environmentally-damaging energy sources
