Chris became Chief Executive In January 2009. He has been a Director and Trustee of UK CEED since 2002.

Chris has worked at a senior level in a number of industries. His early career with food manufacturers Baxters of Speyside was followed by a number of years in the oil industry, mainly with Hamilton Oil and Gas. He then joined Nirex, eventually becoming Chief Executive for a period of 8 years until 2006. Since leaving Nirex he has been involved in a number of environmental projects, including the reuse of end-of-life building materials and incinerator residues. He is currently working on the development of a range of environmentally safe mineral polymer materials that replace hydrocarbon based polymers.

He is an economist and qualified accountant (FCCA).
